This is my first blog hop. I am
inspired by all the other quilting blogs I visit. I'd like to thank Carol for coordinating this
one and helping me figure out how to do it.
What I do is simple and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Oh, and there is a giveaway!
This
festive table runner is a simple pattern called “PRESENTS AND GIFTS” by Suzanne’s
Art House. I added a fun piping border
to give it a framed look. Much of the
quilting is the decorative stitching that finishes the ribbons and bows.
First a bit of "Wonder
Under" is pressed onto the bows and ribbon. Then the background fabric is sewn to the packages.
Next the batting and backing are put
under and pinned to the top. Now it is
ready for some decorative stitching that becomes the quilting. There you have
it, bind it and you have a Simple, fun project!
I love holiday quilts that I can leave out through January. I used a Layer Cake by Moda that I picked up a couple of years ago and couldn't decide on a pattern.
Blogs to visit today are.....
August 6
The giveaway
is a complete set of 9 patterns to make the “FROSTY’S IN TOWN” quilt. It's SO cute!

You did a beautiful job on both of your quilts. I still need to make my own quilt for the holidays and like you, I think mine might be one that can come out after Thanksgiving and stay out until after the new year starts. They're too pretty to only see them for a month.
